A shooting in Newark sends one person to the hosptial.

 It happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning. Police say a 21-year-old woman was shot outside of the Walmart on North 21st Street.

Police say she was transported to Licking Memorial and then flown to a Columbus hosptial.

 Police say it appears to be a domestic related situation and  do have a suspect but no arrests have been made.

It remains under investigation.

The Newark Police Department says a woman is transported to Licking Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after an accident on 21st Street.

It happened around 2:30 p.m.

Sergeant Al schaffer says the driver of the Cadillac was traveling north on 21st Street in the center turning lane when she was struck by the driver of Scion, who was pulling out of a nearby shopping center. The Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on a burglary in Newark.

Newark Police report that on September 5th someone broke into a home in the 1500 block of W. Main Street while the residents were in bed and stole a wallet, cash, and credit cards.

Police say the residents were awakened by noises and one saw a man running through the backyard area.

The suspect is believed to have fled in a car.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in an aggravated robbery in Newark.

Newark Division of Police reports around 1:45 a.m. on August 25th, a woman was robbed by a man with a gun in front of her home on N. 25th Street. The suspect fled with cash towards 23rd Street.

The suspect is described as a white male with facial hair, 23-30 years old, 5-8 to 6-0 tall, 150-180 pounds, brown hair, and wearing a blue...

The Newark Police Department is investigating an early Saturday morning stabbing.

It happened on South Fourth Street at the Inverness Bar around 2 a.m.

Sergeant Darrin Logan says it's unclear at this time what led up to the event, but the victim was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and later transported to Grant Medical Center.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene. He's being held at the Licking County Justice Center.

The Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on a burglary in Newark.

Newark Police reports that on August 1st someone broke into an attached garage of a home in the 700 block of Plymouth Place and stole an air compressor.

Police in Newark respond to a home on West National Drive after receiving a call that gun shots were fired.

At 2:40p.m. the Newark Police Department was called to 109 West National Drive.

"Received a call of a man with a gun and then shortly after that there was a call for shots fired. One of our neighborhood impact officers was in the area. He responded quickly to the scene," says Sergeant Darrin Logan of the Newark Police Department.
