The Noble County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Major Crimes Task force, has conducted a drug raid on Ashton Hill Road in Olive Township in Noble County. Noble County Sheriff Stephen Hannum said his deputies were called to the scene of a fatal oil well drilling accident in Marion Township Wednesday evening.

The well site is off Roberta Cleary Road in the northeast corner of Marion Township. Facts are being collected and a full investigation is underway. Area fire departments and Noble County EMA are said to be actively involved.

A Zanesville man passed away following a traffic accident in Noble County.

The Noble County Sheriff's Office said that around 10:30 p.m.  Thursday, July 3 a vehicle driven by 66-year-old James Searles was traveling west on State Route 78, east of Caldwell, when a family argument erupted inside the vehicle.

A Noble County man is facing charges in connection to the shooting death of a Caldwell woman.

Noble County Sheriff Steve Hannum said 34-year-old Larry Schoeppner of Belle Valley was charged this morning with murder in Noble County Court after investigators say he shot 46-year-old Tracy Kay at an apartment on Cumberland Street Saturday night.

Authorities are investigating the death of a Caldwell woman.

According to the Noble County Sheriff's Office, on Saturday a Caldwell City Police officer was called to an apartment on Spruce Street.  The sheriff said that 43-year-old Alberta Crawford told the officer that she had been assaulted by her neighbor 48-year-old Edgar Poland Sr.

A Noble Township man is dead after crashing his four-wheeler.

According to Noble County Sheriff Stephen Hannum, 63-year-old Ronald Hronec left his home around noon on Saturday. When Hronec didn't return nearly 6 hours later his wife called the Sheriff's Office. Hannum said Neighbor Keith Davis found Hronec on a steep hill side .2 miles from the road where Hronec had crashed.

Hannum said Hronec died as a result of his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

A Stark County man is dead after an accident involving a four wheeler.

The Noble County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at 1:56 on Sunday morning.  The accident happened on Lexington Ridge Road in Marion Township.

The 23-year-old male lost control of the four wheeler and struck a tree.  He was not wearing a helmet.

A 53-year-old Caldwell man faces attempted murder charges after an incident on Valentine's Day.

The Noble County Sheriff's Office responded to the paws and claws pet shop on Spruce Street around 9:15 p.m. Sunday night.
