In the race for Caldwell Clerk /Treasurer, Samantha Ramage has won with 441votes.

Ronald Briggs and William Estadt were elected to the Caldwell Board of Trustees and in the Caldwell Village Council race, Jeff Minosky and Phillip Doan are the winners.

Voters have elected James Parks as the Mayor of Summerfield . He won with 50 votes beating out Eugene Crawford and Diane Stephen.

 A gas plant explosion that shut down Ohio Route 821 between Caldwell and Belle Valley in Noble County has re-opened as of approximately 1:30 Saturday afternoon according to the Noble County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said the explosion at the disposal plant owned by Carper Well Service, Inc. of Reno, happened around 9:30 Saturday morning. No word yet on the cause.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The big talked about solar farm that was supposed to be housed here in Muskingum County will now be moving to Noble County.

Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill is dissapointed that the project is moving to Noble County. Hill says Turning Point Solar ultimately made the decision and that the county had no say in the move of the big project. Noble County voters have spoken and have elected Stephen Hannum as sheriff.

Hannum, a write in candidate, beat out Democratic candidate Denny Knowlton Jr. by a vote of 4,466 to 692.

In the race for County Commissioner, Republican Virgil Thompson is the winner over  Democrat Jody Parrish-Polen and write in candidate Dana Bond.

It was a bad day in Noble County for the local school district. A bond issue and tax for Noble Local Schools failed 968 to 809. In the race for County Commissioner in the republican primary Virgil Thompson beat Scott Wiley. Thompson will face Jody Parrish-Polen in the November General election.
