Northside Pharmacy is joining a statewide initiative to educate older citizens about fall prevention.

Retail pharmacies across the state offered screenings for seniors who take medications that may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or confusion, which could lead to life-threatening falls. Pharmacist Andrea Arnold said falls are a big problem but they can be prevented.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says an area pharmacy was broken into Monday night. Lutz says it happened at the Northside Pharmacy at 157 South Main Street in Roseville. The Sheriff says his investigators are on the scene and the only thing he can confirm is that a breaking and entering investigation is underway.

A late end to winter has delayed the release of pollen into the air.

Now, health professionals are anticipating a massive release of pollen. Doctors at Rutgers University say the late release will overlap and cause a more intense allergy season. The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department is holding a Drug Take Back Event.

It's Saturday, September 27 from 10AM to 2PM. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says all expired or unused medication will be accepted.

"Our service provides anything that you bring in prescription pills wise we'll take, including the containers they come in, liquid, the DEA wont take and we'll also take sharps that can be disposed of."

An elderly man drove his car into Northside Pharmacy Friday afternoon.

According to South Zanesville Firefighter JT Roberts the man hit the accelerator of his red Mercury Sable; propelling the car into a window of Northside Pharmacy on Maysville Avenue.

The driver was not injured in the accident, but the car side-swiped a parked mini-van next to it.

Residents of Somerset and the surrounding area experience an expanded pharmacy.

Northside Pharmacy in Somerset has moved across the street into a new building. The pharmacy worked closely with the Perry County Historical Society to make sure the building fit in with the downtown. There's also more room for the pharmacist.
