Despite the fact the number of deer harvest were down this year three counties in our area make the top ten list of number of deer kills in the state.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said that over 90,000 deer were killed in Ohio during the week long deer gun season. That's down from over 105,000 in 2010.

A spokesperson for the ODNR Division of Wildlife said that weather played a part in the number of deer killed but hunters took advantage later in the week.

If you enjoy fishing, this weekend you'll be able to do so for free.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife is holding its "Free Fishing Days" this Saturday and Sunday.

For these two days only, Ohio anglers may fish in any of the state's public waters without having to buy a fishing license.

During the rest of the year, anglers 16 years of age and older are required to have a valid fishing license to take fish, frogs or turtles from...
