Construction in Licking County is going to impact some drivers' commutes.
A $2.1 million project starts tomorrow in Newark. Crews will focus their efforts on the State Route 16 and 21st Street Interchange. The Ohio Department of Transportation says to accommodate traffic, it will be widening the east and westbound ramps and making adjustments to the 21st Street turning lane. Perry County will see some road construction this Tuesday.
ODOT says crews will work to fix a culvert on State Route 668, near mile marker 2. The road will close just south of Junction City. The project is expected to be completed this Friday, weather permitting.
