The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is releasing the name of a man who was killed in a standoff with sheriff's deputies Saturday night.

Sheriff Matt Lutz said the man is identified as Arthur Wayne West Jr. West has an extensive criminal history. A statement from Lutz shows he has been convicted of criminal trespassing, criminal damaging, phone harassment and underage consumption. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is releasing more details into an overnight officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said that shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls from a female reporting a domestic dispute at 2880 Pinkerton Road in South Zanesville. The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is releasing few details of an officer involved shooting.

Sheriff Timothy Rogers said the incident took place at 10:09 p.m. Tuesday night.

As a result one officer and one suspect were transported from the scene by Coshocton County EMS to Coshocton Memorial Hospital.

BCI&I has been called in and will handle the investigation.
