The Avian Influenza outbreak in the United States is causing concern here in Ohio.

Although it hasn't yet reached Ohio, the state banned poultry shows from the Ohio State Fair and county fairs as a precaution. Ohio State Representative, Brian Hill, said the Ohio Department Of Agriculture is continuing to watch this spread closely.

The sound of a nearby bee usually gets people swatting around and jumping for cover. 

But many bees want nothing but to get to the fruits or flowers in your garden. According to the Ohio Department of Agriculture, honey bees spur growth of over 70 types of crops. However, beekeepers around the state are reporting dwindling colonies.

The Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture has sent a letter regarding the conditions on Marian Thompson's Kopchak Road farm following a WHIZ investigative report.

The letter is regarding 13 calls that have been made to the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office about loose horses from the farm. Here's more information about those calls:
