Governor Kasich calls for extra school snow days as the cold weather continues.

Monday, Governor John Kasich urged the Ohio General Assembly and Ohio Department of Education to work together to provide a one time increase in the number of days that schools can take off because of snow and bad weather.

The new grading system replaces the former grading scale which gave schools written grades. The schools are now given letter grades different categories including achievement, progress, gap closing, graduation rate, literacy and preparedness. Nashport Elementary has the recipe for academic success as they celebrate yet another year of distinguished honors.
