Multiple people were sent to the hospital Monday morning, as the result of a three-vehicle accident.

The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said it happened around 8:30 Monday morning on State Route 60 North in the area of McGlade School Road. Trooper Mike Forshey said a blue pickup truck and a tan SUV were headed southbound, while a green SUV was heading north.

If you're planning on traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday expect to see an increase in law enforcement on the roadways.

43.6 million Americans are expected to drive at least 50 miles over the course of the holiday, which means the State Highway Patrol will be sending extra units out looking for impaired drivers. The Patrol reports that last year in Ohio seventeen people were killed over the Thanksgiving holiday, and 30% of those deaths were alcohol related.

A rollover accident on I-70 shut down traffic for hours Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred just after 2 p.m. in the westbound lane near mile marker 162. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says driver Timothy Hayslip from West Jefferson, Ohio lost control of his truck and camper while attempting to pass a semi.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is on the search for a man believed to be behind a string of robberies near Coshocton.

Sheriff's Lieutenant Dean Hettinger said 34-year old Paul Smith of Coshocton is wanted in connection with several daytime home burglaries in Keene Township.

Hettinger said while searching some property, deputies believed Smith was hiding in a house trailer, which lead to the man hunt.

Law enforcement officials are calling last week's OVI Checkpoint in Zanesville a success.

It took place Friday evening on Pershing road in Springfield township.

Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury said the collaborative operation with state and county law enforcement yielded some interesting results both in and around the checkpoint.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol will hold a sobriety checkpoint in our area Friday.

The checkpoint will take place on Pershing Road in Springfield Township between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. 

This checkpoint is funded by federal grant dollars and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. 

Saturation patrols will also take place nearby in order to aggressively combat alcohol related fatal and injury crashes.

Two people were seriously injured following a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Washington Township.

The State Highway Patrol said just before 3 p.m. a motorcycle carrying 35-year-old Scott Helms and his wife, 40-year-old Michelle Helms of Reynoldsburg, was traveling northbound on State Route 666, when it slammed into a car occupied by 30-year-old Gary Smith of Newark and 38-year old Chris Sheridan of Heath.

A juvenile was sent to the hospital following a rollover crash in Frazeysburg Friday afternoon.

Trooper Stephen Williams with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, says a Ford Bronco was westbound on County Road 76, also known as Narrows road, around 4:00 p.m., when driver Brian Barr lost control.

The State Highway Patrol said alcohol may have been a factor in an accident Saturday evening.

Trooper Stephen Williams said the driver of a Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Old Wheeling Road when he clipped an underground phone line and a private gas well before crashing into a utility pole.

Highways were full of travelers this Memorial Day weekend...
