Thursday evening a march will take place for healthier babies.

March of Dimes is celebrating its 75th anniversary and Muskingum County is getting involved. The walk will take place along OUZ campus. The march supports research for different issues affecting babies and their mothers.

The Muskingum Recreation Center is one step closer to completion. A groundbreaking ceremony took place today on the Ohio University Zanesville campus. The multi generation facility will aim to improve health, wellness and physical fitness for community members.

After three years of hard work, fundraising, and planning, the Muskingum Recreation Center will break ground Wednesday.

The ceremonial groundbreaking will take place at 3 p.m. on the Ohio University Zanesville Campus. The aquatic recreation facility will host swim meets and basketball tournaments, and encourage all ages of the community to make lifestyle changes.

Ohio University Zanesville took part in an event to get students involved on campus.

"Campus Fest" kicked off Wednesday and featured booths from different clubs and organizations from Zane State and Ohio University Zanesville.

Thursday on the campus of Ohio University Zanesville the March of Dimes held its March for Babies fundraiser.

According to the March of Dimes, the March for Babies has raised more than $115 million since it was started in 1970.
