The Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announces that an OVI checkpoint will take place in Licking County Friday evening...

The checkpoint, funded by federal grants, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The patrol says based on provisional data, there were 309 OVI-related fatal crashes, in which 341 people were killed in Ohio last year.

The exact location of the checkpoint will be announced Friday morning.

The State Highway Patrol plans an OVI checkpoint Friday in Lancaster. 

The checkpoint will take place on Main Street in conjunction with the State Patrol and Lancaster Police Department. Nearby saturation patrols will also take place to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol announces details on the sobriety checkpoint in Muskingum County Friday...
