The final numbers are in from this year's Kiwanis Club Peanut Sale.

Club President Bruce Lee said that they raised over $18,000 that will be used on Kiwanis Youth-Oriented projects such as a Christmas party for low income children and sponsorship of the special riders horseback riding program for the disabled.

This year's fundraiser beat their goal by $2,000 and was $3,000 over last year's total.

The biggest fundraiser for Kiwanis Club is their annual peanut sale and the long standing tradition is right around the corner!

On October 4th and 5th, at both of the Zanesville Riesbeck's stores, the intersection of Maple and Brandywine and the intersection of Maple and Bell, there will be Kiwanis members and four area high school Key Clubs selling the salty snack.

Members of Zanesville's Kiwanis Club will be working for peanuts this weekend.

As part of the club's annual peanut sale, members will be handing out packets of peanuts in exchange for donations.  President of Kiwanis Bob Davidson said this fundraiser has been helping children for over 20 years.

The Zanesville Kiwanians will be working for peanuts this weekend.

The club is hosting it's annual peanut sale. Packets of peanuts will be sold for 50 cents.

"We try to do a lot of things that will affect the lives of kids and families in the community," said President of the Kiwanis Club Bob Davidson.

Kiwanis and Key Club members are hitting the streets for their biggest fundraiser of the year.

Zanesville High School Key Club members sold peanuts to passing drivers Friday afternoon, all to raise money for Kiwanis.

"Kiwanis spends all of it's money and effort trying to help the children in the community, the goal of Kiwanis is to change the world one community and one child at a time," says Bruce Lee the secretary for the Zanesville Kiwanis Club.

The Zanesville Kiwanis Club is gearing up for its largest fundraiser of the year.

Kiwanis President, Dave Desender, says Kiwanians and local high school Key Clubbers will be hitting the streets of Zanesville for the peanut sale this Friday and Saturday.
