When Dirk Lincicome became head coach at Philo two years, his ability to get the Electrics to 6-4 the following two years was considered quite a success. But 2012 is different. The expectations are higher and all of Duncan Falls expects more than six wins - especially Lincicome and his players. The recipe to get over that hump seems simple: don't turn the ball over and give maximum effort from the first play to the last. If the Electrics can execute the plan, they might just shock the MVL....

When the fall hits you can find Matt Brown on the sidelines coaching the philo boys soccer team, trying to guide his electrics to an MVL title, but since last fall Brown has been fighting a different battle.

Brown was diagnosed with a parotid gland (salivary gland) tumor in the winter and his friends from high school and his opponents from his indoor soccer days went to work.

They orchestarted the Miles for Matt 5K today which was reduced to a mile run due to the heat but...

We are coming up on the three year anniversary of the passing of Dick Haines, and his memorial basketball camp wrapped up with a bang. Though the numbers were down the organizers were happy with the turn out, and the way the instruction was done.

The camp was competing with two other big name camps this week and had a camper make the trip all the way from North Carolina to participate. The camp lasted three days and was organized by Haines' daughters who also were in charge of the...

This time she showed her skills to all of Region 7 enroute to totaling 32.5 of the Muskies' 49 points at the meet. With that number the Fish were able to finish second in the overall team standings behind West Holmes who finished first.

Back to Gregory though, she earned first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.02 and then followed that up with wins in...

The track and field athletes in the Muskingum Valley League couldn't have asked for a more picturesque night to compete in the league championships. A nice night lead to a considerable amount of records falling in several events.

On the girls side, the Sheridan girls broke a record in the first event of the night, the 3200M Relay. Those girls didn't just break the record, they shattered it by 17 seconds. Sheridan senior thrower Sarah Clow set the girl's shotput...
