Maysville used a strong fifth game to get victory over visiting Sheridan at the Panther Pound. The Lady Panthers were led in kills by Taylor Tatman who tallied 15, while getting a great serving and assisting performance from Erin Curry who dished out 20 assists. When the 2010 season started no one expected the Philo Electrics to be the surprise team in the league, but there they were entering week six with a real shot at post season play. 6-4 is not a record to be celebrated to often but after recent struggles in Duncan Falls the Electrics were estatic about it.

This season though things are changing in Philo and the expectations are even higher than they were before. A game over .500 just isn't going to cut it anymore for the blue and gold....

Nathan DeLozier has done the normal things teenagers do. He plays two sports, hangs out with friends, and even has house pets, but one thing he does different than everyone his age is qualify for a national invitational. DeLozier who will head to Tennessee next month to compete in a moto cross event will have the opportunity to become a national champion and maybe be noticed by big companies and riders. It took him a few weeks, but finally Cabott Harmon got back to the form that he was use to when he threw the discus. The senior who had a rough couple of weeks leading up to the State Track Meet was able to find the strength to make his best throw in the last meet of his high school career. Harmon was able to qualify for the championship heat, and in his first throw fired a disc 169 feet and 6 inches which was good enough for first place for a short time. At the Jesse Owens facility in Columbus Ohio, day one of the OHSAA Track and Field State Championships did not prove to be too fruitful for local athletes. As far as track events go, only one team and one individual qualified for the finals. Mara Cain of Meadowbrook made it in the Division II 100 M hurdles, while the Ridgewood Boys made the finals in the Division III 4X100 M relay.

In the field, JC Murasky played with fire, but did not get burned. After qualifying for the finals...
