The Port Authority moves to terminate the lease of one of its farm tenants.

The Port entered into a three year lease with North River Custom Cattle for 170 acres at the Eastpointe Industrial Park. The lease allows the company to farm the land.

A Zanesville company is on the move following Wednesday's Port Authority meeting.

The port approved the sale of seven acres of land at the Eastpointe Industrial Park to Dow Cameron Oil and Gas for $30,000.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority is creating a new program to help area businesses.

At a meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Port Authority board discussed a Manufacturing Training Incentive Program that would reimburse companies for specific types of training. The Port Authority's Executive Director, Mike Jacoby, says "one of the biggest needs of manufacturers is a trained workforce," and says this program will assist businesses in making that a reality.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority plans to open bids this week for the extension of water and sewer at Eastpointe.

The extension of 1,800ft of water line and 35ft of sewer will take place at the rail transfer station. Engineer's estimate the project will cost less than $100,000 to complete.

In the first meeting of the year at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority discussions get underway for their plans in 2014.

The Muskingum County Port Authority made a move to promote manufacturing growth in Muskingum County.

The Port made a move to create the Targeted Manufacturing Training Incentive Program. The board set aside $50,000 that can be used to reimburse companies for their training costs.

The first sale discussed was 3.3 acres near the airport which is to be sold to Big R Trucking and the second will be sold to City Tire.

A company wants to join with the Muskingum County Port Authority to market the area to foreign investors.

The Hicks Partners from Columbus are applying with the government to take part in the EB5 program. EB5 lets those in foreign countries invest in American companies. In return the investors will receive a Green Card if at least ten jobs are created for every $500,000.
