Day 4 of the Pottery Lovers Festival took place Friday.

The event is being held at the Holiday Inn Express in Zanesville. Over 75 rooms have been filled with thousands of pieces of pottery. Pottery lovers from all over migrate to Zanesville for one week to buy, sell and learn about the fine art of ceramics.

Southeastern Ohio is considered the mecca due to the rich clay in this area and since the sixties people come to see local artists work.

America's longest running pottery gathering returns to Zanesville.

What started as a gathering by the river thirty-five years ago has become a sold out affair. Pottery Lovers group is hosting their reunion, show and sale starting Tuesday morning at the Holiday Inn Express on Spring Street. A Zanesville hotel has transformed into a pottery lover's dream for the next few days.

The Ramada Inn is hosting the annual Pottery Lovers Reunion. Vendors and collectors have set up their various pottery pieces throughout the hotel. This year's theme is unusual shapes and unique pieces.

Beginning pottery enthusiast throughout the nation will come to Zanesville.

The annual pottery week celebration serves as a reunion for collectors of pottery. The 10 days of festivities will include sales, auctions, trades and events. The Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce's Lori Kappes said, more than 500 people will attend.
