American Electric Power reported that some customers woke up without service Tuesday morning.

AEP's outage map indicated that 399 of its customers were in the dark. At one time that number was over a thousand. Power has since been restored.

Coshocton County Sheriff's Dispatcher's said they also dealt with some power outages in the city of Coshocton. Power has since been restored in that area.

Some customers of American Electric Power woke up to not only cold temperatures Tuesday morning, but no power as well. 

According to an AEP power outage map at one time 668 residents were without service. That number dropped to 168 before power was completely restored.

An AEP representative tells WHIZ at this time they do not know what caused the outage.

 Some American Electric Customers in our area are still dealing with the effects of Sunday night's storms.

Here are the power outage reports for Monday morning. 

  • Licking County: 823 without service

American Electric Power is reporting outages throughout the State of Ohio caused by high winds and stormy weather. 

In our area 617 customers in Perry County are without service. Licking County also reports outages at this time 3,382 are without power. In Fairfield County 361 customers are without power. Muskingum County now has 403 without power. Guernsey County reports 108 without service. Coshocton has 117 customers without power.

Some residents begin their Friday morning without power. The strong winds that came through our area have knocked service out to several American Electric Power customers.

The following is a list of the number of customers without power in our viewing area.

  • Muskingum County: 0
  • Licking County: 511
  • Fairfield County: 1,715
  • We'll keep you up to date on all those power outages throughout the day.

Some American Electric Power customers woke up in the dark Thursday morning.

Around 1:50a.m. a spokesman at the power company said that a mechanical problem arose at a Maysville substation and some equipment was damaged. 

At one time power was out to over 2,200 AEP customers. Service was restored just before 6:30a.m. Thursday.

 American Electric Power continues to make progress in getting its customers back up and running after strong storms moved through the area. As of 9:45 p.m. Thursday the company reports they've been able to restore power to 112,000 of the 152,000 that were without power.

Statewide there are still over 40,000 in the dark. Here is a break down of where we're at so far. 

Muskingum County: 146

Coshocton County: 406

Licking County: 330

Perry County: 1,384...

 A day after storms rolled through our area American Electric Power is trying to turn power back on to those still without. The following is a list of outages in our area. 

Muskingum County: 1,699

Coshocton County: 1,766

Morgan County: 3,565

Perry County: 4,356

Licking County: 1,838

Fairfield County: 2,438

As of 5:30 Thursday morning the Guernsey Electric Cooperative reported that 430 of its members are still without service. Crews worked...

 American Electric Power reports many outages throughout our viewing area caused by strong storms. Here are the numbers as we have them. 

Muskingum Co: 2,974

Licking Co: 3,700

Coshocton: 736

Perry: 1,481

Morgan: 871

Guernsey: 345

American Electric Power reported that it was a squirrel in a substation that knocked out power to many of its Muskingum County customers Thursday morning.

AEP first reported the outage to 2,246 of its customers around 9:40 a.m. It took two hours for power to be fully restored.

AEP said the area involved in the outage included those south of Interstate 70 and east of Underwood Avenue and west of the Airport.
