 The Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative reported Wednesday that some of its customers are without power. 

The Cooperative said that approximately 120 members are without power. 

Crews were out through the night and are continuing through Wednesday to complete restoration. That restoration is dependent on Wednesday's weather...But is expected tonight.

The storms have arrived in Muskingum County. American Electric Power is now reporting around 100 customers without power. The storm featured heavy rain and lighting. There was one report of power lines down in the Salvation Army parking lot on Putnam Avenue. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office reports only a few tree limbs down in the county -- no damage. The National Weather Service says the big concern going forward could be flash flooding in...

It has been a  Wednesday night and Thursday morning of tornado watches and warnings all across Ohio. As of 2:30 the Zanesville and Muskingum County area had not seen any storm winds or much rain. There are reports of heavy rains hitting the Coshocton County area. So far there are some reports of property damage -- mostly in northern Ohio and power outages across the buckeye state. Here is the updated numbers:

American Electric Power is reporting some outages in our area.

In Farfield County over 490 of their over 30,000 customers are without service.

Statewide the weather has knocked out power to over 2,000 AEP customers. The largest outages are being seen in Madison County, which is located west of Columbus.

Updated as of 10:30a.m.

American Electric Power reports that thousands still remain without power in the state of Ohio. The storm, Thursday, included strong winds and lightning.

AEP said that suppor personnel from surrounding states are working with them to restore service.

As of Friday morning 90 percent of Zanesville, Coshocton and Newark areas should have power by 11:59p.m. Friday.

The Lancaster area shoul dhave power by 11:59 p.m. Satuday.

We finally have some good news to report when it comes to power outages.  American Electric Power is reporting that all customers in Ohio who lost service 11 days along during the big storms now have power restored.  Muskingum was one of the last counties in the state to have all customers back on-line.  But A-E-P says if you still don’t have power -- which could be possible -- you should call the company and report it.

It is day 10 of no electricity for some people after the big storms slammed through Ohio.  American Electric Power says in the Zanesville area there are still 1,800 customers without service…in the Cambridge area it’s around 620 and in the Newark area there are around 950.  A-E-P says in the Zanesville and Newark area it will be Tuesday evening before all service is restored.  In the Cambridge area power will be restored by sometime Tuesday afternoon....

It been just about one week since the big storms slammed through Zanesville and the rest of the state.  Still 142-thousand people are without service in Ohio and now American Electric Power President Pablo Vegas says A-E-P’s focus is turning to Newark and Athens where 87,000 outages need to be repaired in those two areas.  Here in Muskingum County there are still 14,310 A-E-P customers without service…in Guernsey County it’s 6,147…Perry County 3,954,...

Muskingum: 19,549

Perry: 10,485

Morgan: 3,859

Guernsey: 8,397

Noble: 2,556

Coshocton: 5,583

Licking: 39,903

Fairfield: 18,066

The power company reports that those in the Newark Area which includes Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties should have power by Midnight Sunday July 8. Those in the Coshocton area will...

The strong winds blowing through Zanesville and the rest of Ohio are causing a lot of outages. Here in Muskingum County just over 800 customers are without service Friday Guernsey County it’s just over 300 customers. There were also some businesses that closed friday due to a lack of power…Help Me Grow, The Bureau For Children with Medical Handicaps and Muskingum County WIC.
A-E-P says the wind caused a power pole to break outside a substation.
