The Wednesday morning thunderstorms have left some area residents without power. American Electric Power says as of 4:30 pm 152 customers are still withoout power Licking County. The Energy Cooperative in Newark is reporting all power to their customers has now been restored. No other power outages are being reported in our seven county area. No word on when service will be restored.
Some severe storms that ripped through our area Tuesday dropped some heavy rain, featured vibrant lightning and included some power outages. American Electric Power is reporting that as of 1:45 pm there are 346 customers without service in Muskingum County. In Licking County there are 2,178 customers without power and 135 customers lost service in Morgan County. A-E-P has not announced yet when service will be restored. Currently, The Energy Cooperative has 929 members without power. Outages by county are:
· 4 in Ashland County
· 735 in Knox County (primarily the Apple Valley Substation)
· 175 in Licking County
· 15 in Richland County
A total of six line crews and seven Right-of-Way crews are working to restore power. Additional Right-of-Way crews from Wolfe Tree Service have been contracted to assist in tree and debris clearing. High winds today...
American Electric Power reports outages from Tuesday's freezing rain and Wednesday's wind in Muskingum, Coshocton, Morgan, Perry and Licking counties Tuesday.
In Muskingum County 350 customers are without power. Coshocton County reports 925 customers without power and Licking County reports 2,229are without service. In addition Morgan County reports over 300 customers without service while Perry County has over 400.
