Beginning Monday and lasting until Friday the following Zanesville roads will be restricted.

Streets include Lee Street, McIntire Avenue, and Adamsville Road. Crews will be working on resurfacing these streets. Traffic will be maintained to area businesses and residences. The City of Zanesville asks you to use alternate routes.

As warmer weather reaches the Y-City, so does road construction around the area..

The City of Zanesville Department of Public Service announced, beginning Monday April 18, you can expect lane restrictions on the north and south bound lanes of Maysville Avenue from Putnam Avenue to State Route 719. A culvert and bridge replacement project will begin Monday, August 10. 

The Muskingum County Engineers office reports that a portion of Cutler Lake Road in Salt Creek Township will be closed for approximately 60 days. The road will be closed for a bridge replacement over Manns Fork Salt Creek. This is a half mile south of Mock Road (TR 383) and 1.5 miles north of Ridgeview Road (TR 452).

The city of Zanesville announced Wednesday a temporary closure of the curb lane on a section of Maple Ave.

The Department of Public Service said beginning Thursday, June, 25 at 7:30 a.m. the northbound curb lane on Maple Ave. will be closed. Crews will work to repair a catch basin from Grove Road to Brandywine Blvd. 

Pending weather, normal traffic is expected to resume in the affected area Friday morning.

Drivers on Interstate 70 around Zanesville will travel through construction this week.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that starting Monday, June 15, I-70 will be reduced to one lane through Zanesville. There will also be some ramp closure to allow for pavement repairs and annual bridge inspections. ODOT expects lanes to reopen by the end of the day Wednesday.

Beginning Monday, April 6 the one and off ramps of I-70 westbound will be closed for several weeks. 

The closure is part of a mine grouting project which started last summer. The ramps will be closed for three weeks, and the Ohio Department of Transportation has set up detours for the construction period. The rock wall construction on State Route 60 just south of Duncan Falls is now in the final stages.

Construction began on the wall in mid-July.  Crews worked to move the wall back about eight feet and also added mesh wire fencing. An earth mound is being built between the wall and road as well to protect the rock from weathering and the elements.

Motorists who travel on Interstate 70 east of Zanesville have likely noticed some orange barrels in the past couple of months, and soon there will be a lane shift as well.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said construction on a rock wall along State Route 60 is going smoothly and even running a little ahead of schedule.

Construction began on the wall in mid-July, shutting down a section of State Route 60 just south of Duncan Falls.  ODOT's Ericka Pfeifer said the goal of the project is to move the wall back away from the roadway to ensure the safety of drivers.
