The Rosecrans Bishops are a team that is small in roster size but certainly not lacking the will to win. Despite Jay Campbell's resignation about a month and a half ago, BRC is focusing on the positives and hoping to leap back into the playoff picture. Pat Chiesa has the story.
The West Muskingum Tornadoes fell behind, 10-0, to Bishop Rosecrans only to score 14 unanswered points en route to victory at Sulsberger Stadium. Seth Mirgon fired a 21-yard bullet to Tyler Gibson with 55 seconds remaining in the game for the win.
West opens the season at Philo next Friday while Rosecrans will battle Fairfield Christian next Saturday.
Last year was a rebuilding year for Bishop Rosecrans. Hampered by injuries and lack of depth, the Bishops failed to win a game. This year, the team brings back added experience, a bigger roster and a firmer grasp of what it takes to restore the program to its winning ways. Pat Chiesa has the story.

Despite out-shooting the Lady Knights, River View suffered their fifth and final loss of the year in extra time, while the Knights won their first district title. The golden goal was scored by Jordan Buchanan.
River View ended a seven-game losing streak by pulling off the victory against Rosecrans.
With the game tied at seven at halftime, the Bishops' Luke Lloyd came right out of the gate and issued a challenge to the Black Bears. As predicted by a few coaches on the sideline, Lloyd ran the kick back 87 yards for the go-ahead score.
