Perry County Sheriff's Deputies and Agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday at 10185 Township Road 57 in Roseville.

During the search, agents located an active methamphetamine lab on the property along with other drug manufacturing equipment. Authorities said there was evidence found that suggested that meth was being produced at this location for some time.

Four area fire departments responded to the scene of  a house fire in Newtown Township this afternoon..

The fire was called in by a neighbor who witnessed smoke pouring out of windows of the home next door at 2775 Thompson Run Road.
South Zanesville, Roseville, Falls Township, and Newton Township fire departments responded to the call and contained the fire to a few rooms within the house. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Roseville Fire Department's Second Assistant Fire Chief, Albert Laece says the fire started right around 9 a.m. on Cannelville Road, and when crews arrived, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.

"It appears the owner was working with a saw and somehow there were sparks inside," said Laece. "It sounds like a very accidental."

Laece says there were no injuries and there wasn't much inside, but the 104-year-old barn is destroyed.

About thirty people attended a public meeting at the Roseville Community Center earlier tonight to discuss the possibility of a skate park in their town. Over the past year there have been complaints and concerns about kids skating in the streets and in the roads. The goal of the meeting was to get feedback from Roseville's community to see if a skate park is something they want.

A vehicle that was being pursued by police ended up in a serious crash Thursday night.

The State Highway Patrol said around 7:30 p.m. the Crooksville Police Department was pursuing a white Cadillac on State Route 93.  The patrol said officers discontinued the search, but the same vehicle was later involved in an accident on State Route 93 north of Roseville.

A home near Roseville is considered to be a total loss after a fire broke out Wednesday.

It happened at 3800 Baughman Run Road around 3:30 p.m.  The Newton Township Fire Department said crews encountered heavy smoke when they arrived at the scene.

Firefighters battled the blaze from the outside, and for good reason, because the roof collapsed.  A tanker was used until crews were able to draft water from a pond located on the property.

A section of Roseville's main street was shut down Saturday evening...to celebrate the Orange and Black.

Alumni of Roseville High School gathered for their 2nd annual - all combined - reunion. Orange and Black Alumni Association President Steve Lanning said anyone who ever attended the high school were welcome. Last year more than 500 people came out.
