 A Stiers Lane home is a total loss after an early Monday evening fire. 

All occupants of the home were able to escape the blaze with no injuries. The Assistant Fire Chief with the Newton Township Fire Department says the fire remains under investigation at this time by the State Fire Marshal's Office.

It took crews from Newton Township, South Zanesville, Roseville and Crooksville about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

A home in Roseville is destroyed after a fire ripped through the structure and damaged other nearby homes.

Crews responded to the fire on the 200 block of Washington Street just before 11 a.m. Thursday. Below freezing temperatures created problems for the nearly seven fire departments on the scene. Roseville Fire Chief Ed Guy said the structure took about two hours to extinguish.

A trailer fire Tuesday evening in Newton Township brought out crews from multiple fire departments.

It happened at the Colonial Place Trailer Park at 2870 Maysville Pike just after 8 p.m.

Neighbors watched on as fire crews from Newton Township, Roseville and South Zanesville extinguished the blaze.

Newton Township Battalion Chief Craig Knox said when crews arrived on the scene, they found fire and heavy smoke billowing out of the residence.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a trailer fire in Newton Township.

According to Lieutenant Josh Bryan, firefighters from Newton Township, South Zanesville and Roseville were called to Darlington Drive Sunday afternoon.

He said the trailer was fully engulfed, but crews were able to contain the fire. Bryan said the trailer has been unoccupied for about six months.

Four fire departments were called to a fire at a Roseville home Monday afternoon.

The fire broke out around noon at 170 Potters Lane. Newton Township Fire Chief Allen Deaver says the companies that arrived on the scene reported heavy smoke showing from the home.

"There is signifigant smoke damage throughout the house." said Chief Deaver. "The kitchen is burnt out, some rafters in the kitchen, but it's not a total loss, the guys put a good stop on it."...

Firefighters are able to save Christmas for a Roseville family, after a fire broke out in their home.

The fire started around 3:45 PM at 195 Main Street. Captain Bryan Stickel of the Roseville Fire Department says the blaze started in the first floor bedroom causing extensive damage.  The family, consisting of two adults and one child, was displaced and  is being assisted by the Red Cross. Two volunteer fire departments in our area see funds from the Assistance to Firefighter's Grant Program sponsored through FEMA.

Senator Sherrod Brown said the Roseville Volunteer Fire Department will receive $82,139, while the Senecaville Volunteer Fire Department in Guernsey County gets $92,250.

The money can be used to  buy new vehicles or perform operational and safety equipment updates.

Since 2001 nearly $4 billion in grant money has been awarded to first responder...
