Goodwill Industries is doing good things in our community.

CEO Lou Cvetnick told Zanesville Rotarians Tuesday about the role the organization plays.

"Tell them a little bite about goodwill industries and what we do. Where we do it. Why we do it. And how we provide our services," said Cvetnick.

 In honor of Earth Day, John M. Hoopingarner, Executive Director and Secretary of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, spoke to rotary this afternoon.

Every year, both the Daybreak and Noon Rotary Club's of Zanesville team up for a fundraising project called the "12 Days before Christmas." Project Coordinator Ken Johnson, says this year, over $22,000 worth of prizes will be given away.

A reading promise between a daughter and her dad is helping encourage literacy in Muskingum County.
