The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says a recent runaway has been found. Detective Mike Ryan says 17-year-old Markiese Dalton was taken into custody Wednesday night and is no longer a runaway. Deputies started the search for Dalton on Monday.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a runaway teenager. Deputies are searching for 17-year-old Markiese Dalton.

He is five feet eight inches tall and weighs around 138 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in the 3000 block of Newark Road on January 19th, 2016.

The family of a 17-year-old girl is asking for the public's help in finding a runaway teenager.  She is Nancy Harris and was last seen wearing a pink hoody and print leggins in the 900 block of Leonard Avenue in Zanesville.  Harris is 5'3".  Anyone with information on her wherabouts is asked to call the Zanesville Police Department.  Harris has been gone for two days.

The Amber Alert issued on Saturday morning has been canceled and it appears the girl made up the story.

Officials say Elizabeth Oakes, 17, "was found safe and the Amber Alert has been canceled."

According to Lt. Chris Phipps, Oakes made up the story because she got into a fight with her mother late last night. Lt. Phipps says that Oakes has been taken to the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center and will be charged with falsification, inducing panic and...

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says a missing 16-year-old boy has been found safe. Detective Fred Curry says Bradley Robinson, who was reported as a runaway, was spotted this morning around 11:00 in the Putnam Avenue area. Detective Curry says after an extensive search Bradley was found in the woods west of Woodlawn Avenue.

The 23-year-old man who ran away with a teenager in September was sentenced today in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Mike Wutzler II received a one-year prison sentence from Judge Kelly Cottrill.

Wutzler was sentenced on two felony counts of interference with custody.

In September, Wutzler and 14-year-old Zanesville High School student Christina Ford ran away to South Carolina without her parents knowledge, setting off a search for the teen that lasted several days.

The search is over for a 14-year-old Zanesville High School student who didn't return home after school on Tuesday.

According to Detective Randy Ritchason, Christina Ford and 22-year-old Michael Wutzler the second turned themselves in at the Zanesville Police Department Thursday night.
