The Salvation Army is clearing the tables of clothing.

The organization is holding its annual school clothing giveaway. The office coordinator for the Salvation Army said that donations of boys and girls clothing were both up this year.

The United Way of Muskingum Perry and Morgan counties needs your help.

The organization has received dozens of calls this week through their 211 Call Center for those in need of fans and air conditioners

Back to school is just around the corner and clothes shopping can be expensive.

The Salvation Army in Zanesville kicked off their second annual Block Party Thursday afternoon.

A Duncan Falls Youth Group would like to invite you to a block party, dedicated to spreading the word of God.

Last year the United Methodist Church Youth Group decided they wanted to make a difference, and for the first time sponsored a block party here in Zanesville.

As bone chilling temperatures blanket Southeast Ohio, the Salvation Army is offering their own blanket to those who need a warm place to stay.

The Salvation Army emergency shelter made Christmas a little more special for several individuals. 

The emergency shelter at The Salvation Army welcomed around 16 individuals through their doors on Christmas.  Shelter Manager Karen Walker says there has been an average amount of people coming in and out of the shelter over the holidays, but soon, they will see an increase in numbers.

The Salvation Army wants to thank the community for their generosity this holiday season.

Office Assistant Mindy McCloy says The Salvation Army was able to service 1800 children, providing 7200 gifts.  McCloy says before Christmas, donations were down so they didn't know how they were going to fill their annual Christmas baskets.  But with the community's help, they were able to fill all 2300 baskets.

The Salvation Army is also teaming up with The United Way to offer tax help to those who qualify. 

The United Way will be offering training at The Salvation Army in the upcoming two weeks.  Case Manager Karen Walker says for the first time, The Salvation Army will now be able to prepare taxes for those who meet the income criteria.
