 The Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced Thursday that the water levels at Buckeye Lake are rising and boats are allowed back on the lake, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

More than $61.5 million  heads to the Buckeye Lake Dam Rehabilitation Project.

Republican Senator Troy Balderson, of Zanesville, said the money allocated in the state's capital budget will assist in the second stage of the project.

Dredging machines are in place at Buckeye Lake to start finding a short term solution.

State senator Troy Balderson said both a shallow dredge and a deep water dredge are on site at the lake. The State Legislature may be on break for the summer, but work sessions continue to meet to get bills ready for the fall.

An Ohio Senate Bill sponsored by Republican Senator Troy Balderson, of Zanesville, to help provide funds for job training and workforce development passes the State Senate.
