Zanesville police are investigating a robbery at the Subway on North 7th Street.

It happened around 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Jon McCoy says the man, who was not armed, entered the store and demanded money. He says only one employee was in the store at the time of the robbery.

McCoy says the suspect got into a car that was parked in the back of the building and drove away.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.

Two men have been charged Thursday in connection with a pursuit involving police on Tuesday that resulted in a rollover crash near Zane State College.

Sgt. A two vehicle injury accident occurred Thursday afternoon in Downtown Zanesville.

The collision happened on 6th Street and Canal. Sergeant Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department explained what happened.

"On arrival, through the investigation, the investigation disclosed that a red light was ran on 6th Street with a small Nissan occupied one time which collided with a full size Ford F-150 turning left from Marietta Street onto the 6th Street Bridge."

Some of Zanesville's Police Officers were promoted to new ranks and positions Friday.

Around 1 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Zanesville Police Department, four officers received promotions ranging from Sergeant to Captain.

Patrolman Jon McCoy was promoted to Sergeant, while Sergeants Chris Phipps and Chris Rice who were promoted to Lieutenant, and Lieutenant Tony Coury was promoted to Captain.
