(ZANESVILLE) -- Wes Hudson will forever have fond memories of John Marshall.  Last year against the Monarchs, Hudson took over as the Blue Devils' top quarterback after an injury to Ian McFarland the week before, and decimated John Marshall's defense en route to a 49-20 win.

A team that was picked by many to win the MVL in volleyball came out and reminded people how talented they are by sweeping Crooksville right out of Ankrum Gym. Behind 13 kills from Dylana McKenzie and 17 assists from Alli Hazen the Tornadoes stayed perfect in the MVL.

Our final MVL team preview is the team that took the whole thing a year ago. For Sheridan, winning the league is nothing new. In fact, normally nothing is new in Thornville. Coach Paul Culver is beginning his fourth decade as the leader of the Generals, but on the surface there are some changes for for Sheridan, including the surface. It took him a few weeks, but finally Cabott Harmon got back to the form that he was use to when he threw the discus. The senior who had a rough couple of weeks leading up to the State Track Meet was able to find the strength to make his best throw in the last meet of his high school career. Harmon was able to qualify for the championship heat, and in his first throw fired a disc 169 feet and 6 inches which was good enough for first place for a short time.
