The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office Most Wanted this week is 39-year-old Brian Hatfield.

Hatfield has been accused of helping to misspend nearly $500,000 designated for emergency services for the Harrison Township Emergency Medical Service. According to Sheriff Matt Lutz, Hatfield is wanted on a nationwide pickup for failure to abide by the conditions of his bond in reference to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, money laundering and theft.

The report came at approximately 4PM yesterday afternoon, that the body of a missing woman could potentially be in a wooded area across from the Brookside Apartment Complex. Sheriff of Muskingum County Matt Lutz says that a body was located there by deputies and a K9 unit. According to their initial cornier investigation, the deceased woman could have been in the wooded area for as much as two weeks. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz has released more information regarding a boat stolen from the Zanesville Yacht Club in June that resulted in the death of two local men.

The bodies of 35-year-old Travis Krouskoupf and 24-year-old Kenny Tucker, both of Zanesville, were discovered in the Muskingum River on Friday, June 27th after the boat they were in crashed over a dam.  Several witnesses reported seeing them on the river in the stolen boat the Tuesday before.

The Muskingum County Sheriff says that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources has recovered the body believed to be that of a man missing in the Muskingum River. 

Sheriff Matt Lutz said the body of a man was discovered south of the Rokeby Lock in Morgan County,Friday. 

On Tuesday, Zanesville Police and Fire Department recieved a call in regards to two men in the river. Upon investigation officals found debris of a boat, which later turned out to be stolen.

Remnants of mobile meth labs can cause problems for county workers.

As workers get out on roadways this summer doing project a danger could be lurking. Leftover items used in the making of meth are sometimes dumped on the side of the road.

Items include two liter bottles, gas cans, batteries, rubber hoses and even pill containers. Contact with these items without proper precautions can be harmful to one's health.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office investigates what they consider a suspicious death. 

Sheriff Matt Lutz said that around 10:50p.m. Monday the sheriff's office received a call in reference to an unresponsive female at 6677 McCaslin Road. 

When deputies arrived they found the body of a 25-year-old female, deceased. Sheriff Lutz said detectives are investigating the case as a homicide.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is warning residents of an asphalt scam by  two men named Bill Boswell and Teddy Lee. Lutz says the two are suspected of running fake businesses called "Asphalt Construction" and "A-1 Paving."
