Senator Sherrod Brown announced federal funds to improve electric service.

Senator Brown said South Central Power Company in Lancaster was awarded a $64 million loan guarantee from US Department of Agriculture and Rural Utilities program to construct new distribution and transmission line in 18 southern Ohio counties. The counties include Licking, Perry and Muskingum.

Some money will also be used for smart grid projects.

The Zanesville Municipal Airport will see improvements thanks to federal funding.

US Senator Sherrod Brown announced that $150,000 has been awarded to the City of Zanesville by the US Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration.

The funds will be used to replace the visual guidance system and rehabilitate the runway at the airport.

Brown said that the improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents...

A big job fair was held in Cambridge today. It all came together thanks to a collaborative effort between Chambers of Commerce, ten Ohio counties and U.S. Senator Sherrod brown's office.

The candidates in Ohio's U.S. Senate race have faced off for the last time before Election Day.

Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown and Republican State Treasurer Josh Mandel debated Thursday night in Cincinnati.  Last week Mandel called Brown a liar, and Brown said Mandel can't be trusted.  They clashed on the auto industry bailout, which Brown supported and Mandel said was "fiscally irresponsible".
