The Zanesville Police Department says it is continuing to investigate a shooting incident outside Hoppy’s Bar on Putnam Avenue.  It happened early Sunday morning about 4 o’clock.  Detective Harry Taylor says several gunshots were fired into a crowd outside the bar.  Taylor says two males ages 38 and 37 and two females ages 33 and 22 were injured by gunfire.  One person was reportedly shot five times.  All four subjects were transported to...

Sheriff's deputies are required by the state to take a shooting qualifications test every year, according to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz. With the new surface on their Adamsville Road shooting range, the deputies will be able to train during all four seasons.

Zanesville Police investigate an early morning shooting in the city.

Captain Doug Merry says around 4 a.m. Friday,  they received a call that a man had been shot in the Abington Avenue area.

A Zanesville man charged in connection with a drive by shooting that injured a man was arraigned in court Wednesday.
 

According to the Prosecutor's Office, 23-year-old Mark Smart appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he pleaded not guilty to seven counts of felonious assault and one count of discharging a firearm at or into a habitation. Both charges carry a firearm specification.

A Zanesville man has been charged in connection with a drive by shooting that happened earlier this week.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting incident. Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor says it happened in the early morning hours of Saturday.
