The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a shooting.

It happened early Saturday morning on Pershing Road.  Police said a male was shot in the head.  He was alive when first responders transported him to the hospital.

Police said the incident is pending investigation, and no other details are being released at this time.  We'll continue to bring you more information as it becomes available.

Zanesville Police say they are investigating a shooting incident Wednesday afternoon.  Captain Tony Coury says it happened around 2:00 in the Ridge and Luck Avenues area.  Coury a call came into police that 20 gunshots were fired in that area.  Police report that they found 12 empty bullet casings and one bullet on the ground in a park in the area.  There are no reports on injuries and police continue their search for the suspect.

Zanesville police say an area woman remains in critical condition at Good Samaritan hospital after a shooting incident.

Chief Eric Lambes says it happened around 5:15 Thursday evening at 1127 Lafayette Street. Chief Lambes says 50 year-old Margaret Miller was shot in the chest by her 42-year old husband, Dwayne following an argument. She was then locked in a bedroom. Mrs. Miller was able to call out to neighbors for help and authorities were notified. Mr. Miller fled the home on foot...

A man has been taken into custody after a shooting incident in Zanesville Thursday night.

Police Chief Eric Lambes said a woman was shot in the chest at a home in the 1100 block of Lafayette Street.  He said the suspect fled to the 400 block of Eastman Street after the shooting.  The man locked himself in a shed behind a house.

Zanesville Police say they are investigating two unrelated shooting incidents.  The first one happened 7:30 Friday evening.  A 41-year-old male was walking in the 1500 block of Hickory Street and was shot through the wrist.  He was treated and released from the hospital.  Detective Harry Taylor says there is no suspect or motive in the incident.  The second shooting occurred just before 11:30 Friday night in the 1000 block of Pine Street. Zanesville Police are investigating a shooting incident.  It happened Wednesday afternoon around 1:30.  Captain Tony Coury says shots were fired in the doorway of a home at 618 Dryden Road.  At least two people were inside at the time, but not injuries were reported.  Coury says “someone let them in, there was an argument, and according to one of the witnesses inside, there just started shooting.”  Officers collected some shell casings as evidence. ...

Zanesville police are searching for a suspect after a woman was shot in the leg.

Initially, the incident appeared to be a drive-by shooting, but Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor of the Zanesville Police Department says that's not the case. He says shorty after 1 p.m. Friday, a 65-year-old woman was hit in the leg by an air pellet gun near the intersection of Brighton Blvd. and Ridge Ave.

Zanesville Police investigate a shooting in the city's downtown.

Lt. Chris Phipps said the incident took place around 12:30 Wednesday morning at the Travel Inn on 6th Street.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center by Medflight. Lt. Phipps said the nature of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Zanesville Police said anyone with information should contact their office at (740) 455-0700.

A suspect was shot following a stand-off with authorities Monday in Guernsey County.

According to the Cambridge Police Department, officers attempted to serve a felony warrant at a Meadow Park Residence around 2:30 p.m.

An early morning shooting in Noble County leaves one woman dead and her husband facing charges.

It happened in Caldwell at a home on Miller Street just after 4 a.m.

In a press release issued early Monday morning, Noble County Sheriff Stephen Hannum stated he and a Sheriffs Deputy were called to the scene and found 22-year-old Tiffany Morrison lying on the floor and her husband, 24-year-old Jerad Morrison, lying next to her.

Tiffany Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene...
