The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting incident. Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor says it happened in the early morning hours of Saturday. Taylor says a 35-year-old male and a friend were asked by two males for a ride from a Linden Avenue Bar. Police officers responded to a call around 10:45 p.m. Monday night about a Maysville High School bus that was coming back from a graduation trip and was shot at near the 200 block of Brighton Boulevard.

"Right now we believe it's going to be maybe a pellet gun or BB gun, or a very small caliber weapon," said Captain Tony Coury.

The Zanesville Police Department has more details in reference to a weekend shooting.

The shooting took place on Saturday around one a.m. on Pershing road. According to Captain Coury the ZPD was alerted by the Speedway on Maysville Avenue of an apparent gun shot victim.

The Zanesville Police Department Monday released more details from a weekend shooting incident.  Captain Tony Coury says the preliminary investigation showed that an individual was found at the Speedway at 111 Maysville Avenue early Saturday morning.  Coury says the victim initially reported to South Zanesville Police that he thought he may have been shot.  He then told Zanesville Police that while walking near the fairgrounds on Pershing Road he was assaulted and shot....

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a shooting.

It happened early Saturday morning on Pershing Road.  Police said a male was shot in the head.  He was alive when first responders transported him to the hospital.

Police said the incident is pending investigation, and no other details are being released at this time.  We'll continue to bring you more information as it becomes available.

Zanesville Police say they are investigating a shooting incident Wednesday afternoon.  Captain Tony Coury says it happened around 2:00 in the Ridge and Luck Avenues area.  Coury a call came into police that 20 gunshots were fired in that area.  Police report that they found 12 empty bullet casings and one bullet on the ground in a park in the area.  There are no reports on injuries and police continue their search for the suspect.

Zanesville police say an area woman remains in critical condition at Good Samaritan hospital after a shooting incident.

Chief Eric Lambes says it happened around 5:15 Thursday evening at 1127 Lafayette Street. Chief Lambes says 50 year-old Margaret Miller was shot in the chest by her 42-year old husband, Dwayne following an argument. She was then locked in a bedroom. A man has been taken into custody after a shooting incident in Zanesville Thursday night.

Police Chief Eric Lambes said a woman was shot in the chest at a home in the 1100 block of Lafayette Street.  He said the suspect fled to the 400 block of Eastman Street after the shooting.  The man locked himself in a shed behind a house.

Zanesville Police say they are investigating two unrelated shooting incidents.  The first one happened 7:30 Friday evening.  A 41-year-old male was walking in the 1500 block of Hickory Street and was shot through the wrist.  He was treated and released from the hospital.  Detective Harry Taylor says there is no suspect or motive in the incident.  The second shooting occurred just before 11:30 Friday night in the 1000 block of Pine Street. Zanesville Police are investigating a shooting incident.  It happened Wednesday afternoon around 1:30.  Captain Tony Coury says shots were fired in the doorway of a home at 618 Dryden Road.  At least two people were inside at the time, but not injuries were reported.  Coury says “someone let them in, there was an argument, and according to one of the witnesses inside, there just started shooting.”  Officers collected some shell casings as evidence. ...
