The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a Wednesday morning shooting incident.

Detective Sergeant Ric Roush said around 7:40 AM officers responded to a home at 476 Spangler Drive and found a shooting victim.  He said 27-year-old Joshua Roush, who lives at that address, was shot in the neck area.  Investigators have determined that the shooting took place at a home on Mead Street, and the victim drove himself back to his own home.

Zanesville Police are investigating a shooting at a home on Mead Street.   It happened at 7:45 Wednesday morning. Initial reports indicate that a short bald black male was involved in the incident and fled the scene on foot. Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigaiton.

At about 8 o'clock Saturday night a shooting outside the Dairy Mart at the corner of Baker and Pine Street in Zanesville left one man dead. On Sunday, friends and family of the victim talked about who he was and what he leaves behind.

The sound of rap music is commonly heard outside the Dairy Mart in Zanesville. A well-known hang out for the group Ghetto Devoted Entertainment.

A Zanesville woman is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head early Tuesday morning while delivering newspapers.

The 9-1-1 call came in at about 3 this morning. 53 year-old Joyce Miller of Zanesville was delivering the newspaper near Brighton Boulevard and Dryden Road. She thought she heard a car back fire. The sound she heard was gun fire-striking her just behind the right ear.

A Zanesville Times Recorder carrier was shot behind her right ear Tuesday morning while she was delivering papers. Police Chief Eric Lambes says it happened at the corner of Brighton Boulevard and Dryden Road around 3:00 am. The Chief says the gun used was a small caliber and the injury is not life threatening. Zanesville Police are investigating a shooting incident near the intersection of Ridge and Schaum Avenues. Witnesses tell Whiz News that a group of teenagers were chasing another teenager in an alley near R+K Drive Thru shooting a gun and yelling “we are going to kill you.” Police have not yet commented on the incident, but have found at least two bullet casing in the area of the chase. No word on any injuries yet and the incident remains under investigation.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office investigates the shooting death of a Pataskala man.

Deputies responded to 77 West Fieldstone Drive on a reported shooting incident around 3:00am July 17th.

That's when deputies found 50-year-old Richard Reeb inside the home with a single fatal gunshot wound.

48-year-old Sherrie Chafin-Eucker who also lived at the home told authorities the shooting was an accident.

Cambridge Police investigate an early Wednesday morning shooting.

Officers responding to a 911 call of gunfire in the 400 block of N. Fifth Street found a man on the porch of the home with a gunshot wound.

While he was being attended to another man walked out of his home two houses north of the injured subject and told authorities he  had shot the man because he was attempting to enter his residence.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a report of a shot fired during a dispute Monday evening.

According to Lt. Tony Coury, officers were called to 254 Gray Street around 7:30 p.m. Coury says there was an argument at the home where the suspect fired a shot into the air and then fled the scene on foot.

He says officers know the identity of the man and are searching for him at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
