"Some are buying heaters, stuff to help keep warm. You know, a little electric heater for a spare room they have or doesn't get heated as well as the...

"The idea started a few years ago. We were back visiting some family in kansas and we ended up getting a foot and a half of snow. So it...

A clipper system is going to move out of the Upper Midwest tonight and will move into the Ohio Valley on Sunday into Sunday night. We can expect a wintry mix to begin after lunchtime. Areas well north will start out as all snow, otherwise we can expect a wintry mix and even some rain, especially south of I-70. All it took was a quick look out the window Monday, November 17th, to see that Jack Frost had arrived. For students in the area the snows arrival meant school closing and delays, for others the white powder meant spending extra time in the morning to shovel that dreaded driveway.

We caught up with Pat Wishoven as he was shoveling his driveway, “My sidewalk is a corner lot, it takes me about 30 minutes to really get it all cleaned.”

Shoveling the driveway may not seem...

Matt Russell, Administrative Deputy at the Muskingum County Engineer's Office, says the MCEO currently has 300 tons of salt left to last them until the end of winter. Typically the Muskingum County Engineer's Office uses 3,000 to 4,000 tons of salt a year. This year, that number has nearly doubled to 6,000 tons. Russell says because they have maxed out their state contract, it's unlikely they will order more salt.
