Hayley Flynn stopped by the WHIZ studio on Sunday to discuss her signing with the Pennsylvania Rebellion of the National Pro Fastpitch league.
Flynn was a standout at both Philo High School and Eastern Kentucky University before signing with the rebellion. During her senior sesaon at Eastern Kentucky, Flynn was named first team All-OVC and was named an NFCA All-Region selection after posting a 26-10 record with 268 strikeouts.
This year's All-Ohio softball teams were released, featuring five 1st team performers. Lakewood juniors Courtney Vierstra and Brenna Brownfield, along with Maysville pitcher Madison Riggle, Zanesville pitcher Destinee Brooks, and Tri-Valley infielder Riley Paxson all made this year's first team.

Lakewood defeated Keystone 7-4 to win the Division-II state championship. The Lady Lancers allowed one run in the first inning, but exploded for six in the second inning. Lakewood finishes the year 29-0 and their fourth state title in school history.

The Muskingum University softball team played its first home games of the season this afternoon at Donna J. Newberry Field taking on the Denison Big Red. Denison was dominant in both games, winning 4-3 and 6-2. The Fighting Muskies next game will be on Friday in a conference matchup against Otterbein.
One local organization celebrated a very special anniversary this weekend that brought thousands through the door.
The Fieldhouse Family Sports and Wellness Center is celebrating their 28 year anniversary. This weekend they had over 1000 people from eight states walking through their doors. For an AKC Shetland Sheepdog competition on the fanatic's field and a huge girls indoor softball tournament.
