The city of Zanesville has plans to ban panhandling.

Five woman accused of being prostitutes are off the streets thanks to an undercover sting by the Zanesville Police Department.

Capt. Tony Coury said after recent complaints from downtown area business owners, ZPD conducted an undercover sting using an informant and arrested Misty Dawn Taylor, Morgan Jackson, Jennifer Toombs, Donna Schrack and Ashley Lombardi this past week. Five women arrested following an undercover operation appeared in Zanesville Municipal Court Tuesday.

Lt. Tony Coury says the women were arrested Monday evening when undercover officers conducted a prostitution sting.

According to court records, Courtney Coen pled guilty to one count of soliciting and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge William Joseph gave her a 500 dollar fine and 45 days in jail with the condition of no repeats for two years. April Martin pled...

An undercover operation by the Zanesville Police Department's Narcotics Unit resulted in the arrest of three women for soliciting Wednesday night.

According to Municipal Court records, Carolyn Fey and Shelly Moore were arrested for soliciting and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roberta Haser was arrested on one count of soliciting.

All three women pled not guilty at their arraignments today and will have another hearing December 8th.
