The Cambridge Police Department said they've taken a suspect into custody that's believed to be involved in a gas station robbery. 

The incident took place just before 2:30 Saturday morning at the Speedway on East Wheeling Avenue. 

Authorities said the clerk at the gas station reported that the suspect entered the store and demanded money while holding something tucked into his waistband, possibly a firearm.

 Zanesville Police investigate an attempted robbery of the Speedway Gas station on Blue Avenue. 

Captain Doug Merry said that the incident took place around 1:20 a.m. when a male subject walked into the gas station with a knife and a black t-shirt wrapped around his face.

Authorities in Licking County are on the look out for a robbery suspect.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office along with the Pataskala Police Department responded to a robbery  around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Speedway Gas Station on Hazelton Etna Road in Pataskala.

Authorities say the clerk reported  a white male entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes.

Zanesville Police continue their search for a suspect believed to be involved in two gas station robberies.

Police said the first robbery took place at the Starfire on Pershing Road around 4:20a.m. Tuesday morning. The second almost twenty minutes later at the Speedway on Blue Avenue. A man charged in connection with a December gas station robbery went before Judge Fleegle Monday morning.

Teddie Hunter was in court for a competency hearing where the court found that he was competent to stand trial.

Zanesville Police Detective Sgt. Ric Roush said that the 35-year-old robbed the Speedway Gas station at 930 Blue Avenue and made motions and gestures referring to having a handgun while demanding cash from the female clerk.
