The snow is beginning to melt which means soon spring will be in the air.

The 12th annual "Spring Fever" Home Gardening Symposium took place Saturday at Ohio University Zanesville. The event featured nationally known speaker, Felder Rushing, who educated attendees about the art of slow gardening.

 It may still be snowy outside, but the Muskingum Valley Garden Society's annual "Spring Fever" home gardening symposium is right around the corner.

The convention hosted three speakers at Saturday's event. One of them was Nan Chase, author of "Eat Your Yard." Chase shared her expertise and gardening tips to Muskingum County residents.

"I'm blown away. This is a huge symposium, everybody's done volunteer work it, it's super well organized, there's a lot to see," said author of "Eat Your Yard," Nan Chase.
