The Ohio Department of Transportation District 5 announced beginning Monday, State Route 93 in Muskingum County will be closed.
The road will close between the westbound exit and entrance ramps of I-70 and extend north approximately 1000 ft. The State Route 93 interchange ramps to and from I-70 westbound will remain closed during this time as well.
The road will close approximately seven days while crews work to complete a mine grouting project started last summer.
The westbound on and off ramps from Interstate 70 at State Route 93 will be closed for three weeks starting April 6th for construction. During the construction, westbound exit traffic will be detoured at State Route 797 to US 22/40 West to State Route 93. Traffic using the westbound entrance will be detoured to US 22/40 East to State Route 797 to westbound I-70.
A Crooksville woman loses her life following a Saturday afternoon traffic accident near Ceramic Road on State Route 93.
The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol said 80-year-old Virginia Compston died of her injures at Fairfield Medical Center.
The Patrol reports that just after 4p.m. Saturday, Compston was traveling south on State Route 93 when her vehicle went left of center, striking a Dodge truck, driven by 32-year-old John Spears, of Roseville.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident in Crooksville.
According to Trooper Gregory Hurd of the Lancaster Post, at around 12:23 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a vehicle entered State Route 93 from Township Road 445 and struck a northbound vehicle. Trooper Hurd said Medflight was called to the scene, but isn't sure how many people were transported via helicopter, or where they were transported to. A Perry County man is dead after a Sunday morning crash.
The State Highway Patrol said that 20-year-old Tyler Moore, of New Lexington, was traveling northbound on State Route 93 near Dutch Ridge Road when he lost control of his 2009 Toyota Scion and left the roadway. His vehicle then went over an embankment, striking a tree.
Moore was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Perry County Coroner.

A Crooksville family continues to mourn the loss of 18-year-old David Savage Junior after vandalism stirs-up the mysterious death of the past.
