The Stars and Stripes on the River will be moving the fireworks display to a new location in town this year.

Fireworks will not be lit across from Zane's Landing as they have in the past, but rather from the Main Street leg of the historic Y-Bridge. Pyrotechnician of Record, Stephen Vincent told us more about the reasoning behind the move.

Many have seen the beautiful fireworks display at Stars and Stripes on the River, but are unaware of the hard work and family tradition behind it.

For the last 20 years, the Vincent Family has been lighting fireworks for many displays around the area, including the display at Zanes Landing. Stephen Vincent, Pyrotechnician of Record for Friday's show, says a lot of hard work goes into preparing the Fourth of July fireworks.

A father daughter duo will put on the fireworks show for the city of Zanesville on Thursday.

Stephen and Amelia Vincent are licensed pyrotechnicians who are planning two different shows for the holiday.

Organizers are calling the 27th annual Carr center cake auction a huge success.

The two day event last week at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville raised more than 130,000 dollars for the Carr Center.

"We raised more per cake than we did last year, so we had to be pleased and like every year we never set a goal.Were just tickled to death to get whatever we can and this year was no exception, " Bucci said.

Days of work are about to be put to the test for Stephen Vincent and his daughter, Amelia.

"For every minute of fireworks you see in the air, we have one hour of work and preparation on the ground," said Vincent.

For the last several years, Vincent has been the man behind the scenes of, "Stars & Stripes on the River" at Zane's Landing Park.
