ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp is starting up again this summer for high school students. The camp has been in operation since 1950 and the co-director of the camp, Jeremy Scherf, says that those who attend the camp come away with valuable lessons.

Muskingum County middle school girls have an opportunity to learn from college professors this June. 

By partnering with Ohio University of Zanesville, Muskingum Behavioral Health is having a summer camp to teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls the values of being independent, intelligent and confident.

The first week of summer camp at the Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation in Conesville has been kicked off without a hitch!

1:16 Tuesday afternoon, marked the official start to summer, but even rain clouds couldn't keep the kids from having their summer fun.

The YMCA is kicking off its 12 week Summer Camp next Tuesday.

It's open to those going into kindergarten next year through 8th grade.

"A lot of folks are looking for, especially parents, a place for their kids to go, and two questions we get are: Are they safe and will they have fun? They answer is yes to both of these, " says Executive Director, Craig Miracle.
