An area museum is finding creative ways to introduce arts to the youth.

The Beaux Arts Organization hosted the Sweet Heart Tea Party Saturday afternoon at the Zanesville Museum of Art. Little girls were invited to learn more about the Madame Alexander doll collection. The gallery houses over 600 dolls.

"We were trying to focus on the dolls and what little girls like to do and we wanted them to dress up and do something a little different," said Melanie Klotzbach....

Members of the local Tea Party organization say they want to be heard.

They have held several rallies this year , including a couple in front of 18th District US Congressman Zack Space's office.

"I admire the fact that there are people out there who care enough to get involved and to familiarize themselves with the issues. I admire the passion, " says Space.

Around two hundred people gathered Thursday evening on the Muskingum County Courthouse steps.

The Tea Party Rally featured speakers who spoke about everything from taxes to healthcare to legislation in the works. Last year's rally had around 600 people and organizer, Kay Clymer, says she is disappointed in the turnout.

Local chapters of the National Tea Party will be holding rallies across the US this Thursday, including one outside of the Muskingum County Court House.

The rally brought out about 600 people last year. Organizer, Kay Clymer, says she wants to top that this year.

"I'm hoping so. I'm hoping and praying for a thousand people or more, " says Clymer.

Clymer says she hopes it will prompt people to go out and vote in the May Primary.

Some local residents are voicing their opinions about the healthcare bill and how they want Congressman Zack Space to vote.
