Coconis Furniture held their annual Tee It Up Fore Autism Golf Tournament at the Zanesville Country Club on Monday. The Coconis family started the tournament four years ago as a way to give back to local families.

"With having a child in the family with Autism, it was just a good fit and it's a great way to raise money in a big way, for local families," said Shannon Coconis, President of the National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio.

Area golfers hit the green for an important cause Monday.

Players gathered at the Zanesville Country Club for the 3rd annual "Tee It Up Fore Autism."

Shannon Coconis is the president of the National Autism Association of Southeastern Ohio and said the purpose is to raise money for local families in order to afford the necessary medical treatments and therapies that are not covered by insurance in Ohio.

"The new numbers are now 1 in 88 kids will be diagnosed...
