The Salvation Army received a generous donation today.

The 18-hole scramble took place at Green Valley Golf Course Sunday morning. A full field of 18 teams competed in the third annual outing that's put on by Terry's Tavern.

In partnership with local law enforcement, Terry's Tavern is hosting their second annual golf outing at the Green Valley Golf Course on August 4. Tim Arnold, part-owner of Terry's says it's a great way to give back to the community.
"It's in an association with the F.O.P., the Fraternal Order of Police here in Zanesville," said Arnold. "We're trying to raise money in support of their Christmas dinner where they serve the seniors during christmas."
A hit-skip crash is under investigation in Zanesville.
Police said there were actually two separate accidents involving the same vehicle. It all started when a Chevy Cavalier hit a Dodge Grand Caravan near the Y Bridge.
Police said the driver of the Caravan was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries, but the driver of the Cavalier kept going and got involved in another crash at Terry's Tavern on Linden Avenue.
Many kids will be warm for the winter thanks to a local establishment.

The Red Cross will be hitting the town Saturday night and raising money at a local hot spot.
Terry's Tavern is hosting a party that will allow the organization to help local families in the future.
"All the proceeds from half and half tickets and some other things and we're also going to have a door prize there will go toward our disaster relief fund," Marlene Henderson Director of Readiness and Development at the Muskingum Valley Red Cross said.
