The Muskingum County Hunger Network provided nearly 1,000,000 meals last year to families in need.

Feed the Children, Avon, Christ's Table, and the City of Zanesville teamed up for the 5th year in a row to help the Network, by distributing boxes filled with food and personal care items to local families. During Friday's milestone, 1,200 families went home with essentials. Avon Inventory Analyst, Glen Haynes explained why this event is so important in the community.

Tax day is on the way, but Operation Feed is giving you a reason to smile as you file your return.

The United Way's annual sub sale as part of Operation Feed is coming up on April 15, but orders are now being taken for the sale. Executive Director of Christ's Table, Keely Warden, said the sale is a way to enjoy tax day.

Nearly 20 area dignitaries were pied in the face to raise money for the operation feed campaign hosted by Christ's Table on Thursday.

For the third year community members had the chance to pie a "celebrity" of their choice in the face by donating funds to the good cause. There were many well known faces participating including Muskingum County sheriff Matt Lutz.
