Chemistry, anatomy, biology and more... Kids involved with science camp think, it's just fun.

A summer camp held at  Zane Sate College offers kids some hands-on experience with science. Instructor at Zane State College, Katie Hooper, said, if kids get their feet wet now with science, the future job opportunities are endless.

Some youth in our community are in need of guidance.

The Muskingum Family Y hosted a Big Brothers Big Sisters picnic Sunday afternoon. The organization is nationally recognized for it's mentoring program.  

"We won't turn any child away, because every child always needs that special someone that might not be their mom or their dad, so they can just talk to about personal things," said Sarah Browning, Development Coordinator.

One local organization wants to thank the community for a great summer. 

The Muskingum Family Y hosted it's First Annual "Run Wild At The Y" community day. About twenty adults and children competed in the 3 mile run around the park. All proceeds were given to the Y's finacial assistance program.

The YMCA has recently decided to change its name to just, "the Y" , the organization also announced a new brand strategy.

After two years of analysis and research, the YMCA has concluded that changing its name to "the Y" will help make the organization more progressive with the community.
