The Zanesville Fire Department is inviting the public to join them for a night full of laughter and fun.

The department's first ever Comedy Night fundraiser will be held at Bryan Place on July 31, at 8 p.m. Attendees can enjoy Bryan Place favorites at an additional cost.

"Bryan Place actually what they do, is line up the comedians for us, all we have to do is sell the tickets and the biggest proceeds of that go to the actual fundraiser," said Fire Fighter, Chad Brock....

Emergency responders in the area came together for an accident safety workshop on Friday.

Members of the Zanesville Fire Department and some of Muskingum County's fire departments, and local towing companies worked together in an effort to improve emergency safety on the roadways.

High water on roadways can put drivers in dangerous situations.

Zanesville Fire Fighter Greg Brocklehurst said it's up to drivers to make the right call when approaching standing water.

"You really don't want to drive through it because it can be deceiving how high it may be," said Brocklehurst. "It may not look like much but you start going into it and it starts getting deeper and deeper. It's very hard to judge how deep it is before you get into it. "

Buckeye Lake Repairs May Come Sooner Than Planned

BUCKEYE LAKE, OHIO (WHIZ) - ODNR Director, Jim Zehringer told members of the Ohio House Buckeye Lake Caucus that repairs on the dam could begin about a year ahead of previous estimates. The design for the reconstructed dam will begin this summer and be finished by spring, with construction planned for next summer.

One of Two Bodies Identified

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) -The Muskingum County Sheriffs office have publicly identified one of the two bodies found dead in a home just outside of Adamsville.
